敵を侮ってはならぬ。彼こそ、我が軍の将を討ち取った者――インドラの軍勢すら打ち砕く力を持つ戦士であり、従者と象軍をも伴っていた。
"No low opinion to be entertained with regard to an enemy by whom my commander in chief of the army was killed, who is capable of killing the army of Indra with his followers and elephants."
Humility and realism in judgment: dharma in governance and warfare includes avoiding arrogance and assessing threats truthfully (satya-buddhi).
In the midst of planning/command, Rāvaṇa cautions his side not to underestimate the opposing hero who has already slain a major commander.
Practical discernment: recognizing an opponent’s proven capability rather than acting from pride.
