Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
तस्याभिसङ्क्रम्यरथंसचक्रंसाश्वध्वजच्छत्रमहापताकम् ।ससारथिंसाशनिशूलखडगंरामःप्रचिच्छेदशरैस्सुपुङ्खैः ।।6.59.137।।
tasyābhisaṅkramya rathaṃ sa-cakraṃ sāśva-dhvaja-cchatra-mahāpatākam |
sasārathiṃ sāśani-śūla-khaḍgaṃ rāmaḥ praciccheda śaraiḥ supuṅkhaiḥ ||6.59.137||
彼に迫ったラーマは、羽根整った矢で、車輪ある戦車を、馬・旗・天蓋・大旗もろとも、さらに御者と、雷霆のごとき武器、三叉戟や剣に至るまで、ことごとく断ち砕いた。
Advancing towards him, (Ravana), Rama tore into pieces his chariot, wheels, horses, standard and canopy including the charioteer and the darts and swords.
Rāma’s decisive destruction of the enemy’s war-gear is presented as dharma-yuddha conduct: neutralizing adharma-backed power efficiently while keeping the aim fixed on restoring righteous order.
Satya is implicit in Rāma’s unwavering commitment to his vow and purpose—defeating Rāvaṇa to uphold justice—shown here as steady, effective action aligned with that truth.
