Akampana Dispatched; The Vanara–Rakshasa Battle and Omens
शीघ्रंनिर्यान्तुदुर्धर्षाराक्षसाभीमविक्रमाः ।अकम्पनंपुरस्कृत्यसर्वशस्त्रप्रकोविदम् ।।।।
śīghraṃ niryāntu durdharṣā rākṣasā bhīma-vikramāḥ | akampanaṃ puraskṛtya sarva-śastra-prakōvidam ||
「たちどころに出陣せよ、抗し難きラークシャサたちよ。勇猛にして恐るべきその武威をもって。あらゆる武器の術に通じたアカンパナを先頭に立てよ。」
"Send for Akampana quickly, who is of terrific valour, difficult to encounter and skilled in all sastras."
The verse shows the power of command and organization in war; ethically, it warns that competence and discipline can serve either Dharma or adharma depending on the leader’s intent.
A Rākṣasa leader orders immediate deployment, appointing Akampana—renowned for mastery of weapons—as the leading figure.
Martial competence and strategic leadership are emphasized (though placed in the service of the Rākṣasa cause).
