軍勢が河々の主たる大海の岸に陣を定めたとき、ラーマは傍らに立つラクシュマナを見て、次の言葉を語った。
After the army had settled down on the shores of the lord of rivers (sea), Rama spoke to Lakshmana who stood beside him.
Dharma is shown as deliberation and rightful counsel before action: Rāma prepares to speak and guide the next step, implying that righteous action is preceded by thoughtful communication.
After the army encamps on the seashore, Rāma turns to Lakṣmaṇa beside him and begins to address him.
Rāma’s leadership through counsel and Lakṣmaṇa’s steadfast service—standing close, ready to receive instruction.
