蓮華のような目をした二人の兄弟、火神の息子たちのように矢の床に横たわる偉大な英雄たちを見て、シータは悲しみに打ちひしがれ、哀れに嘆き悲しんだ。
Seeing the gallant bulls among men, the two brothers with big eyes, the two heroes like sons of fire god lying on the bed of arrows in such a state, Sita was filled with intense sorrow and pity burst into tears being affected extremely.
Compassion aligned with fidelity: Sītā’s grief reflects steadfast marital dharma and humane sensitivity, even amid a battlefield’s cruelty.
Sītā is brought to witness the two brothers apparently felled by a barrage of arrows; the shock triggers her intense lament.
Sītā’s unwavering love and truth-bound loyalty (satya-niṣṭhā) to Rāma, expressed through sincere, uncalculated sorrow.
