रुद्धांतुनगरींश्रुत्वाजातक्रोधोनिशाचरः ।विधानंद्विगुणंश्रुत्वाप्रासादंसोऽध्यरोहत ।।।।

Transliteration

ruddhāṃ tu nagarīṃ śrutvā jātakrodho niśācaraḥ |

vidhānaṃ dviguṇaṃ śrutvā prāsādaṃ so 'dhyarohata ||

Translation

都が封鎖され占拠されたと聞くや、夜行の王（ラーヴァナ）は怒りに燃えた。防備の状況を知ると、備えを倍にせよと命じ、ついで宮殿の高殿へと登った。
