लङ्काद्वारव्यूहवर्णनम् / Disposition at the Gates of Lanka
सरामःकृत्यसिध्यर्थएवमुक्त्वाविभीषणम् ।।।।सुवेलारोहणेबुद्धिश्चकारमतिमान्मतिम् ।रमणीयतरंदृष्टवासुवेलस्यगिरेस्तटम् ।।।।
sa rāmaḥ kṛtyasiddhyartham evam uktvā vibhīṣaṇam | suvelārohaṇe buddhiṃ cakāra matimān matim |
ramaṇīyataraṃ dṛṣṭvā suvelasya gires taṭam || 6.37.36 ||
かくしてラーマは、事の成就を願う賢者としてヴィビーシャナに告げ、スヴェーラ山に登る決意を固めた。さらにその山の麓の斜面がいよいよ美しいのを見て、進み行った。
"In the battle like this at present Vanaras should not be in the semblance of humans. Let this be our sign."
Dharma is purposeful action guided by wisdom: Rāma aligns movement and strategy with the higher aim (kṛtya-siddhi), not mere aggression.
After issuing instructions (including to Vibhīṣaṇa), Rāma decides to climb Mount Suvela as part of the campaign’s next tactical step.
Steady discernment (mati) and mission-focus—Rāma’s capacity to act decisively while remaining composed and observant.
