लङ्काद्वारव्यूहवर्णनम् / Disposition at the Gates of Lanka
अत्रमन्युर्नकर्तव्योरोषयेत्वांनभीषये ।।।।समर्थोह्यसिवीर्येणसुराणामपिनिग्रहे ।
atra manyur na kartavyo roṣayet tvāṃ na bhīṣaye | samartho hy asi vīryeṇa surāṇām api nigrahe |
「この件で怒りに身を任せてはなりません。あなたを煽るためでも、恐れさせるためでもなく申します。あなたは武勇によって、神々さえも制することができるのです。」
"Here, in this case do not be angry. I am telling out of my duty and not out of indignation or to cause anger or fear in you. You are capable of resisting even Devatas."
Anger-control as dharma in leadership: even in war, righteous action requires composure and clear judgment rather than impulsive wrath.
After describing enemy strength, Vibhīṣaṇa reassures Rāma while cautioning him not to react with anger.
