Description of Lanka’s Fortifications and Forces
न्यर्बुदंरक्षसामत्राप्युत्तरद्वारमाश्रितम् ।रथिनश्चाश्ववाहाश्चकुलपुत्त्रास्सुपूजिताः ।।।।
nyarbudaṃ rakṣasām atrāpy uttaradvāram āśritam | rathinaś cāśvavāhāś ca kulaputrāḥ supūjitāḥ ||
北の門にも、羅刹の一ニャルブダが配され、戦車兵と騎兵、名門の子らとして尊ばれ、信頼されている。
"Hundreds and thousands of warriors who are unassailable are collected in the center(of Lanka) in multitudes of crores."
The verse implies that even formidable foes may be disciplined and socially rooted; dharma-based warfare recognizes the seriousness of conflict and avoids contempt that leads to adharma.
