नीलानिवमहामेघांस्तिष्ठतोयांस्तुपश्यसि ।।।।असिताञ्जनसङ्काशान् युद्धेसत्यपराक्रमान् ।असङ् ख्येयाननिर्देश्यान्परंपारमिवोदधेः ।।।।पर्वतेषुचयेकेचिद्विषमेषुनदीषुच ।एतेत्वामभिवर्तन्तेराजन्नृक्षास्सुदारुणाः ।।।।

nīlān iva mahāmeghāṃs tiṣṭhato yāṃs tu paśyasi |

asitāñjanasaṅkāśān yuddhe satyaparākramān |

asaṅkhyeyān anirdeśyān paraṃ pāram ivodadheḥ |

parvateṣu ca ye kecid viṣameṣu nadīṣu ca |

ete tvām abhivartante rājan ṛkṣāḥ sudāruṇāḥ || 6.27.5–7 ||

王よ、あなたが見て立ち並ぶ者たちは、濃紺の大いなる雷雲のようであり、黒は眼の煤(コール)のごとく、戦において真実にして揺るがぬ武勇を示す。彼らは数知れず、言葉にも尽くしがたく、まるで大海の彼方の岸のようだ。山々から、また険しい河辺の地から、きわめて獰猛な熊たちがあなたへと迫り来る。
