सारणोराक्षसेन्द्रस्यवचनंपरिपृच्छतः ।आचचक्षेऽथमुख्यज्ञोमुख्यांस्तांस्तुवनौकसः ।।।।
sāraṇo rākṣasendrasya vacanaṃ paripṛcchataḥ |
ācacakṣe 'tha mukhyajño mukhyāṃs tāṃs tu vanaukasaḥ ||6.26.10||
羅刹の王が問いただすと、要の者をよく知るサーラナは、森に住む者たち――ヴァーナラ――の中でも最も卓越した首領たちを語り始めた。
