क्लिश्यन्तीम् पतिदेवांत्वामशोकवनिकांगताम् ।।6.116.31।।घोररूपसमाचाराःक्रूराःक्रूरतरेक्षणाः ।इहश्रुतामयादेवि राक्षस्योविकृताननाः ।।6.116.32।।असकृत्परुषैर्वाक्यैर्वद्नत्योरावणाज्ञया ।
kliśyantīm patidevāṃ tvām aśokavanikāṃ gatām ||6.116.31||
ghorarūpasamācārāḥ krūrāḥ krūratarekṣaṇāḥ |
iha śrutā mayā devi rākṣasyo vikṛtānanāḥ ||6.116.32||
asakṛt paruṣair vākyair vadantyo rāvaṇājñayā ||
女神よ、ここで私は聞きました。あの羅刹女たちが——振る舞いは残忍、姿は恐ろしく、眼差しはことさらに凄惨で、顔は歪み——ラーヴァナの命により、幾度も荒々しい言葉を浴びせていたのを。夫を神と仰ぐあなたが、アショーカの林で苦しめられている間に。
"I desire to kill all those Rakshasas who in the past have intimidated you indeed and whoever threatened you."
Dharma rejects cruelty and abuse of authority: Rāvaṇa’s command leads to repeated verbal violence, which is morally condemned by being explicitly remembered and named.
