今日、戦いの最前線で速やかにお前を殺し、戦を誇りとする私は、お前をすでに倒れた羅刹の英雄たちの列に加えよう。
"I, who commend warfare, will quickly kill you today in the forefront of the army and join you with Rakshasa heroes who were killed."
Boasting and delight in killing reveal a fall from dharma: righteous warfare in the epic is duty-bound and restrained, not a stage for pride or cruelty.
Rāvaṇa continues his challenge, claiming he will kill Rāma at the front lines and send him to the company of the slain rākṣasa warriors.
The implied virtue is humility and adherence to righteous conduct in conflict—valor should serve justice, not self-glorification.
