Angada’s Counsel on Reporting Without Sita
तेष्वेवं हतवीरेषु राक्षसेषु हनूमता।।।।किमन्यदत्र कर्तव्यं गृहीत्वा याम जानकीम्।
teṣv evaṃ hatavīreṣu rākṣaseṣu hanūmatā |
kim anyad atra kartavyaṃ gṛhītvā yāma jānākīm ||
ハヌマーンがこのように羅刹の勇士たちを討ち果たした今、ここで他に何をなすべきか。ジャーナキーを捕らえて立ち去ろう。
"Hence, having killed the heroes among ogres what other task has Hanuman to do? Let us get Sita.
Dharma as decisive protection: when conditions appear favorable, one should act to end injustice promptly—here, the impulse is to complete the rescue rather than delay.
Aṅgada argues that since Hanumān has already overcome major rākṣasa resistance, the group should take Sītā and leave.
Initiative and resolve—Aṅgada pushes for swift completion of the righteous objective (though later counsel in the epic weighs strategy and Sītā’s agency).
