Transliteration

iti śoka-samāviṣṭaś cintām aham upāgataḥ |

athāhaṃ vācam aśrauṣaṃ cāraṇānāṃ śubhākṣarām |

jānakī na ca dagdheti vismayodanta-bhāṣiṇām ||

Translation

悲嘆に呑まれて憂いに沈んでいたそのとき、チャーラナたちの吉祥なる言葉が耳に入った。驚くべき知らせとして、「ジャーナキーは焼かれていない」と告げていた。
