Indrajit’s Deployment—Brahmāstra Binding, Hanuman’s Capture, Entry into Ravana’s Court
hanumato veda na rākṣaso 'ntaraṃ na mārutis tasya mahātmano 'ntaram | parasparaṃ nirviṣahau babhūvatuḥ sametya tau devasamānavikramau ||
The demon did not find a way to hit Hanuman. Maruti also found no opportunity to hit great Indrajit. Both of them being equal to gods in valour became too much to each other in war. (Both of them moved at meteoric speed making it difficult to aim at the enemy.)
Perseverance without deceit: neither side finds an easy ‘gap’; the verse highlights sustained effort and the reality that righteous aims often meet equally formidable resistance.
The duel reaches a stalemate of skill and speed: neither Indrajit nor Hanumān can easily strike the other.
Pratijñā-dhṛti (tenacious resolve): both persist intensely, showing unwavering commitment to their respective objectives.
