द्वितीयं कारणं यच्च ब्रवीषि विनयान्विते।रामादन्यस्य नार्हामि संस्पर्शमिति जानकि ।।5.38.4।।एतत्ते सदृशं देवि पत्न्यास्तस्य महात्मनः।का ह्यन्या त्वामृते देवि ब्रूयाद्वचनमीदृशम्।।5.38.5।।
dvitīyaṃ kāraṇaṃ yac ca bravīṣi vinayānvitē |
rāmād anyasya nārhāmi saṃsparśam iti jānaki || 5.38.4 ||
etat te sadṛśaṃ devi patnyās tasya mahātmanaḥ |
kā hy anyā tvām ṛte devi brūyād vacanam īdṛśam || 5.38.5 ||
そしてあなたが慎みをもって述べる第二の理由――「ラーマ以外の者の触れを受けるべきではありません」、ジャーナキーよ――それはまさに、あの大いなる魂の人の妻であるあなたにふさわしい。いったい誰が、王妃よ、あなた以外にこのような言葉を語れようか。
