計り知れぬ威力をもつあのお方がダンダカの森に住していた折、わたし――その妻は――羅刹、邪心のラーヴァナにさらわれました。
"While the most valiant Rama was living in the Dandaka forest, I, his wife was borne away by the evil-minded Ravana.
The verse contrasts dharma and adharma: Sītā truthfully states the wrongdoing—abduction—marking it as a grave violation of righteousness and a woman’s dignity.
Sītā reveals her identity and the key event: Rāvaṇa abducted her during the forest-dwelling period in Daṇḍaka.
Truthfulness and clarity—Sītā speaks plainly about her situation despite fear and suffering.
