Hanumān–Sītā Dialogue and Identity Verification
स विहायोत्तरीयाणि महार्हाणि महायशाः।।।।विसृज्य मनसा राज्यं जनन्यै मां समादिशत्।
sa vihāyottarīyāṇi mahārhāṇi mahāyaśāḥ |
visṛjya manasā rājyaṃ jananyai māṃ samādiśat ||
大いなる名声をもつラーマは高価な上衣を脱ぎ捨て、心において王国を捨て去り、私に母君に仕えるよう命じた。
"Having given up the kingdom voluntarily, Rama, a highly renowned king cast off his luxurious upper garments and asked me to take care of his mother.
Tyāga aligned with duty: Rama renounces external signs of royalty and prioritizes filial responsibility—ensuring his mother is cared for amid upheaval.
As Rama prepares to accept exile, he abandons royal attire and arranges household duties, instructing care for his mother.
Detachment and responsible compassion: renouncing power without neglecting obligations to family.
