Hanumān–Sītā Dialogue and Identity Verification
पृथिव्यां राजसिंहानां मुख्यस्य विदितात्मनः।।।।स्नुषा दशरथस्याहं शत्रुसैन्यप्रतापिनः।
pṛthivyāṃ rāja-siṃhānāṃ mukhyasya viditātmanaḥ | snuṣā daśarathasyāhaṃ śatru-sainya-pratāpinaḥ ||
私はダシャラタ王の嫁、地上の獅子王たちの中でも第一の方、真我を知り、敵軍を屈服させる御方の嫁である。
"I am daughter-in-law of king Dasaratha, knower of the self, the foremost among kings on earth and a slayer of enemy army.
Satya (truthful self-identification) aligned with dharma: Sita states her lawful place in the Ikshvaku household, emphasizing legitimacy, duty, and honorable lineage.
Sita begins to identify herself formally to Hanuman, establishing her connection to Rama’s family.
Sita’s dignity and clarity—she speaks truthfully and with composure even in captivity.
