Sītā’s Perplexity and Recognition of Hanumān
सा तं समीक्ष्यैव भृशं विसंज्ञा गतासुकल्पेन बभूव सीता।चिरेण संज्ञां प्रतिलभ्य भूयो विचिन्तयामास विशालनेत्रा।।।।
sā taṁ samīkṣyaiva bhṛśaṁ visaṁjñā gatāsukalpena babhūva sītā |
cireṇa saṁjñāṁ pratilabhya bhūyo vicintayāmāsa viśālanetrā ||
彼を見たその瞬間、シーターは気を失い、命さえ去るかのようであった。久しくして意識を取り戻すと、大きな瞳の彼女は再び思いを巡らせた。
Overcome with sorrow and fear, noble Sita sobbed pitiably muttering repeatedly. 'O Rama, O Rama, O Lakshmana'.
Dharma includes patience and truthful assessment: even amid overwhelming emotion, Sītā returns to conscious reflection rather than surrendering to confusion.
Sītā repeatedly swoons due to fear and strain, then slowly regains awareness and resumes careful thought.
