Vision of Lanka and Strategy for Nocturnal Entry
सूर्ये चास्तं गते रात्रौ देहं सङ्क्षिप्य मारुतिः।पृषदंशकमात्रः सन् बभूवाद्भुतदर्शनः।।।।
sūrye cāstaṁ gate rātrau dehaṁ saṅkṣipya mārutiḥ |
pṛṣadaṁśakamātraḥ san babhūvādbhutadarśanaḥ ||
日が沈み夜となると、マールティは身を縮め、ほんの小さな生き物ほどの大きさとなったが、その姿はまことに妙なるものであった。
When Sun set, Maruti, the son of the Wind-god, reduced himself at night to the small size of a cat, wonderful to behold.
Power is to be governed by purpose: Hanumān’s strength is expressed as self-control, shaping his abilities to serve truth and duty rather than display.
At nightfall, Hanumān changes his bodily size to move unnoticed within Laṅkā.
