Lakshmana’s Anger Reported; Hanuman Advises Propitiation and Timely Mobilization
प्राप्तमुद्योगकालं तु नावैषि हरिपुङ्गव।त्वं प्रमत्त इति व्यक्तं लक्ष्मणोऽयमिहागतः।।
prāptam udyoga-kālaṃ tu nāvaiṣi hari-puṅgava | tvaṃ pramatta iti vyaktaṃ lakṣmaṇo ’yam ihāgataḥ ||
猿の中の雄よ、いまこそ出動の時が来たのに、汝はそれを悟らぬ。汝が怠りに沈んだのは明らかゆえ、ラクシュマナがここへ来たのだ。
'The message sent by a man who is in distress, and is deprived of his wife should be accepted even if they are harsh since he is a great self (who has rendered you help).
A pledge must be honored at the proper time; negligence after receiving help is adharma and invites rightful reproach.
Lakṣmaṇa arrives to confront the delay in Sugrīva’s promised assistance to search for Sītā; Tārā frames it as a consequence of Sugrīva’s inattention.
