Lakshmana’s Anger Reported; Hanuman Advises Propitiation and Timely Mobilization
त्वं प्रमत्तो न जानीषे कालं कालविदां वर।फुल्लसप्तच्छदश्यामा प्रवृत्ता तु शरच्छिवा।।
tvaṃ pramatto na jānīṣe kālaṃ kālavidāṃ vara | phulla-saptacchada-śyāmā pravṛttā tu śarad śivā ||
季節を知る者の中の最上よ、汝はうかつになり時をわきまえぬ。吉祥なる秋はすでに到来し、草木は青々と茂り、サプタッチャダの花も咲き満ちている。
'The sky from which the dark clouds have completely disappeared is illumined with planets and stars. The rivers and tanks as well as all directions are pleasant.
Dharma requires timely action; neglecting kāla (proper time) turns even capability into failure and becomes a moral lapse in keeping one’s word.
Sugrīva has become complacent after regaining kingship; Tārā points out that the season has turned and the promised campaign must begin.
