dvātriṃśac ca sahasrāṇi varṣāṇi sumahāyaśāḥ |

tapovanaṃ gato rāma svargaṃ lebhe tapodhanaḥ || 1.42.4 ||

Translation

ラーマよ、名高きアヌシュマンは苦行の森に入り、三万二千年を過ごした。タパスのみを財として天界を得たが—その志は遂げられなかった。
