सीतान्वेषणारम्भः
The Search for Sita Begins
वित्रासयितुकामा वा लीना स्यात्कानने क्वचित्।जिज्ञासमाना वैदेही त्वां मां च पुरुषर्षभ।।।।तस्याह्यन्वेषणे श्रीमन् क्षिप्रमेव यतावहे।
vitrāsayitukāmā vā līnā syāt kānane kvacit |
jijñāsamānā vaidehī tvāṁ māṁ ca puruṣarṣabha ||3.61.17||
tasyā hy anveṣaṇe śrīman kṣipram eva yatāvahe |
あるいはヴァイデーヒーが森のどこかに身を隠し、我らを驚かせようとしているのかもしれぬ――汝と我とを試すために、人中の雄よ。ゆえに、幸いなる方よ、ただちに力を尽くして彼女を捜そう。
