Jatayu’s Combat with Ravana
ततस्तु तं पत्ररथं महीतले निपातितं रावणवेगमर्दितम्।पुनः परिश्वज्य शशिप्रभानना रुरोद सीता जनकात्मजातदा।।।।
tatas tu taṃ pattrarathaṃ mahītale nipātitaṃ rāvaṇavegamarditam |
punaḥ pariśvajya śaśiprabhānanā ruroda sītā janakātmajā tadā ||
そのとき、月のような面差しのジャナカの娘シーターは、ラーヴァナの猛進に打ち倒され大地に伏した翼ある勇士を、ふたたび抱きしめ、声をあげて泣き崩れた。
