Akampana Reports Janasthana; Ravana Plans Sita’s Abduction
असाध्यः कुपितो रामो विक्रमेण महायशाः।आपगायास्सुपूर्णाया वेगं परिहरेच्छरैः।।3.31.23।।
asādhyaḥ kupito rāmo vikrameṇa mahāyaśāḥ |
āpagāyāḥ supūrṇāyā vegaṃ pariharec charaiḥ ||3.31.23||
大いなる名声を持つラーマは、ひとたび憤れば抗しがたい。満ちあふれて奔流となる河の勢いさえ、彼は矢によって押しとどめ得る。
Thus said by Ravana, Akampana responded, I will tell you what happened there. O king ! listen to the strength and valour of Rama.
Power under Dharma is portrayed as protective and decisive; it warns that provoking the righteous leads to consequences beyond ordinary measure.
Akampana underscores Rāma’s extraordinary martial capacity to dissuade Rāvaṇa from rash confrontation.
