Khara’s Wrath and Śūrpaṇakhā’s Report
मनोरथोऽयमिष्टोऽस्या भगिन्या मम राक्षसाः।शीघ्रं सम्पाद्यतां तौ च प्रमथ्य स्वेन तेजसा।।।।
manoratho ’yam iṣṭo ’syā bhaginyā mama rākṣasāḥ | śīghraṃ sampādyatāṃ tau ca pramathya svena tejasā ||
おお、羅刹たちよ。我が妹のこの切なる願いを速やかに叶えよ。其方らの力で彼らを圧倒し、打ち砕くのだ。
Who is he who has tied has tied his throat with the noose of death out of ignorance and yet does not know the implications ? Who is he who has caused this injury to you, but does not understand that he has drunk deadly poison.
Dharma warns against using authority and strength to serve revenge; power is meant for protection, not for fulfilling violent desires.
Khara rallies his troops to execute vengeance on behalf of Śūrpaṇakhā.
The implied virtue is righteous leadership—contrasted with Khara’s coercive, revenge-driven command.
