जराजर्जरितैः पद्मैशशीर्णकेसरकर्णिकैः।नालषेर्हिमध्वस्सैर्न भन्ति कमलाकराः।।।।

Transliteration

jarājarjaritaiḥ padmaiḥ śīrṇakesarakarṇikaiḥ |

nālaśeṣair himadhvastair na bhānti kamalākarāḥ ||

Translation

蓮の池はもはや輝かない。蓮は老いに傷み、花糸も花托も枯れ、ただ茎だけとなって、霜に打たれて滅びている。
