FAQs

Surabhī is the divine cow associated with abundance and sacred nourishment; here she is described as honored by the gods and as a source connected to sacrificial sustenance (haviḥ).

The verse frames Surabhī’s manifestation as a cosmic boon that benefits all beings—supporting nourishment and ritual order—so even opposing classes (Devas and Dānavas) share in the resulting prosperity.

It highlights the sanctity of nourishment and yajña (sacrificial offering) as foundations of harmony: when sources of sustenance are honored, collective well-being and concord arise across rival groups.
