वल्मीकोदरमध्यस्थो जडीभूत इवस्थितः । स एवं पिप्पलो विप्रस्तपते सुमहत्तपः

valmīkodaramadhyastho jaḍībhūta ivasthitaḥ | sa evaṃ pippalo viprastapate sumahattapaḥ

蟻塚の腹の空洞のただ中に身を置き、彼はまるで不動のものとなったかのように立っていた。かくして婆羅門ピッパラは、きわめて大いなる苦行を修した。
