तेजः प्रभावो ह्यतुलः सतीनां धाता समर्थः सहितुं न सूर्यः । सुकुत्सितं रूपमिदं तु रक्षेत्पुरानुसूया मुनिना हि शप्तम्

tejaḥ prabhāvo hyatulaḥ satīnāṃ dhātā samarthaḥ sahituṃ na sūryaḥ | sukutsitaṃ rūpamidaṃ tu rakṣetpurānusūyā muninā hi śaptam

まことに貞女たちの光輝と威力は比類なく、創造主といえども耐え得ず、太陽すら同じである。ゆえに、この卑しむべき姿を守り慎むべきだ。これは昔、呪詛によって—まさしく聖仙アナスーヤーの呪いによって—もたらされたのである。
