Narrator (describing the speech of a duṣṭātmā addressing brāhmaṇas)

Concept: Cynical speech that denies the efficacy of sacred duty erodes faith and dismantles communal dharma.

Application: Be vigilant about corrosive narratives that mock sincere practice; respond with clarity and steadiness—verify claims, keep sādhana, and avoid becoming a vector of doubt for others.

Primary Rasa: raudra

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A sharp-tongued agitator stands before a circle of brāhmaṇas, gesturing toward a prepared Soma vessel and a blazing altar, insisting the gods do not partake. FAQs

A wicked-minded person repeatedly tells brāhmaṇas that the gods do not partake of the properly offered Soma in yajñas—implying ritual offerings are futile.

The verse highlights the harm of persistent disparagement of sacred duties and of those who uphold them; repeated slander and cynicism toward dharma is portrayed as a mark of moral corruption.

It frames respect for yajña, Soma offerings, and brāhmaṇical stewardship as part of maintaining dharma, while portraying denigration of these as spiritually and socially disruptive.
