昔、ウグラセーナはスヴァルガドヴァーラにて大海を見てそこへ赴き、アーチャマナ(浄水を含む作法)を行って清浄となり、至上のナーラーヤナを観想した。
Narada (narrating a tirtha-mahatmya account)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents the tirtha-method: approach a sacred place with śauca (purity), perform ācamana, and culminate the pilgrimage in dhyāna on the Supreme Nārāyaṇa—showing that inner remembrance is the fruit of outer travel.
Bhakti is expressed here as focused contemplation of Nārāyaṇa; the verse frames devotion not merely as visiting a tirtha, but as turning the mind to the Lord through reverent, purified meditation.
Ritual discipline is implied through ācamana and śauca—standard procedural elements of Vedic practice (kalpa/ācāra tradition), emphasizing correct preparatory purification before japa, dhyāna, or worship.
