Gayā-Māhātmya
यजेत वाश्वमेधेन नीलं वा वृषमुत्सृजेत् । सारात्सारतरं देवि गयामाहात्म्यमुत्तमम् ॥ ६ ॥
yajeta vāśvamedhena nīlaṃ vā vṛṣamutsṛjet | sārātsārataraṃ devi gayāmāhātmyamuttamam || 6 ||
人はアシュヴァメーダ（Aśvamedha）の祭祀を行い、あるいは青き牡牛を聖なる施しとして放つこともできよう。だが、女神よ、至上のガヤー・マーハートミャ（Gayā-māhātmya）は、あらゆる功徳の精髄—その精髄をも超える精髄—なのである。
