The Account of Mohinī
Mohinī-upākhyāna
मोहिनीमग्रतः कृत्वा जगाम द्विजसन्निधौ । तत्र गत्वा महीपाल ब्रह्मा देवादिभिर्वृतः ॥ २९ ॥
mohinīmagrataḥ kṛtvā jagāma dvijasannidhau | tatra gatvā mahīpāla brahmā devādibhirvṛtaḥ || 29 ||
モーヒニーを前に立てて、彼はドヴィジャ(バラモン)の御前へと赴いた。そこに至ると、王よ、梵天は諸天および他の神聖なる者たちに囲まれていた。
Narada (narrating to a king within the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha narrative frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta (wonder)
Secondary Rasa: vira (heroic)
It emphasizes divine oversight of dharmic events: the presence of Brahmā attended by the Devas signals that the unfolding episode is not merely worldly, but guided and witnessed by higher cosmic authorities.
Indirectly, it frames devotion as reverence toward the divine order—Brahmā and the Devas—reminding the listener that sacred narratives and tirtha contexts cultivate faith (śraddhā) and God-centered orientation.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is narrative context-setting typical of Purāṇas, preparing the listener for dharma-oriented instruction rather than technical science.
