लंकोदयात्स्याद्वारादिस्तस्मादूर्ध्वमधोऽपिवा । देशांतरस्वचरार्द्धनाडीभिरपरे भवेत् ॥ १५९ ॥
laṃkodayātsyādvārādistasmādūrdhvamadho'pivā | deśāṃtarasvacarārddhanāḍībhirapare bhavet || 159 ||
ランカー(Laṅkā)の日の出を基準として、ドヴァーラカー(Dvārakā)その他の地の時刻が定められる――進んでいる(大)場合も、遅れている(小)場合もある。別の地方では、当地の経度のずれ(sva-cara)に応じて、半ナーディ(nāḍī)単位で差を算定すべきである。
