教えによれば、ドヴァーパラ・ユガの始まりはマाघ月(Māgha)のアマーヴァーシャー(クリシュナ・パンチャダシー)にあり、また一カルパの開端はナバスヤ月(Nabhasya=バードラパダ Bhādrapada)の黒分第十三日(トラヨーダシー)に当たる。
