तिथयस्तुप्रशस्तास्युर्मध्यमा प्रतिपत्सिता । षष्ठ्यां तैलं तथाष्टम्यां मासं क्षौरं कलेस्तिथौ ॥ १४० ॥
tithayastupraśastāsyurmadhyamā pratipatsitā | ṣaṣṭhyāṃ tailaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ māsaṃ kṣauraṃ kalestithau || 140 ||
ティティのうち中ほどのものは吉祥とされ、またプラティパト（第一日）も是認される。第六日（シャシュティー）には油を塗り、第八日（アシュタミー）には月ごとの誓戒（ヴラタ）を修し、そしてカーラ（時・死）のティティには剃髪を行うべきである。
