It links Dharma to sacred time (tithi), teaching that spiritual discipline is strengthened when routine acts and vows are aligned with auspicious lunar timings.
While not directly preaching Bhakti, it supports Bhakti-based living by prescribing orderly, time-conscious conduct—creating purity and steadiness that sustain worship and vows.
It reflects Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology): using tithi-classification to decide suitable times for practices like oil application, monthly observances, and shaving.
