Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames Jyotiṣa as a dharmic tool: by understanding inauspicious yogas and life-indications, one is guided toward remedial discipline, right conduct, and ultimately mokṣa-oriented living rather than fatalism.
While not directly teaching bhakti, it supports a bhakti-aligned worldview: knowledge of karmic indications (yogas, death-signs) encourages taking refuge in dharma and devotion-based remedies, prayer, and surrender rather than anxiety.
It highlights Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa—topics such as inauspicious yogas, strī-janma indicators, niryāṇa (death indications), naṣṭa-jātaka methods, and dreṣkāṇa (decan) characteristics used in horoscopy.
