व्यासध्नं प्रभजेद्विप्र ज्या काशं जायते स्फुटा । ज्यांघ्रीषुध्नोवृत्तवर्गोबग्धिघ्नव्यासाढ्यमौर्विहृत् ॥ ५० ॥
vyāsadhnaṃ prabhajedvipra jyā kāśaṃ jāyate sphuṭā | jyāṃghrīṣudhnovṛttavargobagdhighnavyāsāḍhyamaurvihṛt || 50 ||
婆羅門よ、直径を割りて求めよ。そこから弦(jyā)は明らかに得られる。弦と関係する量—円、量の平方、直径—を用い、弦の法(jyā)により所要の結果を定める。
