वृङ्ङात्मनेपदी धातुः र्श्रथाद्याश्चैकविंशतिः । परस्मैपदिनश्चाथ स्वरितेद्ग्रह एव च ॥ ६८ ॥

語根「vṛṅ」はアートマネーパダ(Ātmanepada・中動)である。「rśrath」に始まる群は二十一の語根から成る。次いでパラスマイパダ(能動)の語根があり、さらにスヴァリタ(svarita)で標示された語根については、作用する文法標識として ‘it’ の印のみを取るべきである。
