Bharata’s Attachment and the Palanquin Teaching on ‘I’ and ‘Mine’
चकार भक्तिभावेन यथालब्धसपर्यया । नित्यं प्रातः समाप्लुत्य निर्मलेऽभलि नारद ॥ १० ॥
cakāra bhaktibhāvena yathālabdhasaparyayā | nityaṃ prātaḥ samāplutya nirmale'bhali nārada || 10 ||
おおナーラダよ、彼はバクティの情をもって、得られるままの供物で礼拝の奉仕を行った。さらに毎朝、清らかで澄んだ水にてよく沐浴し、日々の行を絶やさなかった。
Sanatkumara (addressing Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights that inner devotion (bhaktibhāva) and purity of daily conduct—especially morning bathing and regular worship—are central to spiritual progress, even when resources are limited.
Bhakti is shown as sincere, consistent service: worship performed with devotion using whatever is available (yathālabdha), emphasizing intention and steadiness over luxury or display.
It reflects practical ritual discipline (nitya-karma) such as prātaḥ-snāna (morning bath) and basic saparyā (worship procedure), aligning with Vedic ritual practice rather than a technical Vedanga like Vyākaraṇa.
