Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas
स च सिंहो महानादमुत्सृजन् धुतकेसरः ।
शरीरेभ्यो 'मरारीणामसूनिव विचिन्वति ॥
sa ca siṃho mahānādamutsṛjan dhutakesaraḥ / śarīrebhyo 'marārīṇāmasūniva vicinvati
そして女神の獅子は、たてがみを震わせて大いなる咆哮を放ち、神々の敵の身体から生命の息そのものを引き抜くかのようであった。
Divine protection is not only through the central deity but also through aligned forces (gaṇas/vāhana); the lion embodies courage and righteous ferocity against oppression.
Anucarita within Manvantara narrative; it also supports vaṃśānucarita indirectly by depicting the gods’ enemies being removed to preserve cosmic order.
The lion signifies controlled power (tejas) under Śakti’s command; the ‘roar’ is mantra-like vibration that dissolves prāṇic hold of negative forces.
