Adhyaya 65 — Svarocis Enjoys on the Mountain; A Debate on Marital Fidelity and Desire
इति श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराणेऽथ स्वारोचिषे मन्वन्तरेऽ चतुःषष्ठितमोऽध्यायः ।
पञ्चषष्ठितमोऽध्यायः- ६५
मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततः स ताभिः सहितः पत्नीभिरमरद्युतिः ।
ररामा तस्मिन् शैलेन्द्रे रम्यकानननिर्झरे ॥
iti śrīmārkaṇḍeyapurāṇe 'tha svārociṣe manvantare catuḥṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ / pañcaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ 65 / mārkaṇḍeya uvāca tataḥ sa tābhiḥ sahitaḥ patnībhir amaradyutiḥ / rarāma tasmin śailendre ramyakānananirjhare
かくして、スヴァーローチシャ・マンヴァンタラに属する『シュリー・マールカṇḍेयヤ・プラーナ』第六十四章は終わり、第六十五章が始まる。マールカṇḍेयヤは語った。ついでその光輝ある天上の存在は、かの妻たちを伴い、麗しき林と滝のほとりにあるその威容の山で戯れ遊んだ。
The text normalizes enjoyment after rightful attainment: bhoga is not condemned when situated within order and blessing, rather than driven by harm or adharma.
