Adhyaya 49 — Cosmic Dissolution
मासि मास्य् आर्तवोत्पत्त्या गर्भोत्पत्तिः पुनः पुनः ।
रागोत्पत्त्या ततस् तासां वृक्षास् ते गृहम्-संज्ञिताः ॥
māsi māsy ārtavotpatt yā garbhotpattiḥ punaḥ punaḥ | rāgotpattyā tatas tāsāṃ vṛkṣās te gṛha-saṃjñitāḥ ||
月ごとに、月経の流れが起こるたび、受胎は繰り返し生じた。さらに欲望が起こると、彼らはそれらの樹々を「家」とみなした。
