Adhyaya 36 — Madalasa’s Final Counsel and the Renunciation of King Ritadhvaja
जड उवाच इत्युक्त्वा प्रददौ तस्मै सौवर्णं साङ्गुलीयकम् ।
आशिषश्चापि या योग्याः परुषस्य गृहे सतः ॥
jaḍa uvāca ityuktvā pradadau tasmai sauvarṇaṃ sāṅgulīyakam | āśiṣaścāpi yā yogyāḥ paruṣasya gṛhe sataḥ
ジャダは言った。「そのように語って、彼女は彼に黄金の指輪を授けた。また、パルシャ(Paruṣa)が自らの家にとどまる間、ふさわしい祝福をも授けた。」

Even while advocating detachment, the tradition recognizes contextual appropriateness (yogyā āśiṣaḥ): blessings and duties are tailored to one’s station and stage.
