तस्य शब्दों महानासीदू् धम्यमानस्य जिष्णुना । तथा वीर्यवता संख्ये पर्वतस्येव दीर्यत:,युद्धभूमिमें वैसे महापराक्रमी विजयशील अर्जुनके द्वारा बजाये जानेपर उस शंखसे इतने जोरकी आवाज हुई, मानो कोई पर्वत फट गया हो
tasya śabdo mahān āsīd dhyamānasya jiṣṇunā | tathā vīryavatā saṅkhye parvatasyeva dīryataḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。戦場にて、武勇に満ちたジシュヌ(アルジュナ)がその法螺を吹くと、響きは巨大となって立ちのぼり、まるで山が裂けるかのようであった。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical force of dharmic valor: when a righteous warrior acts decisively, his presence and resolve can overwhelm fear and confusion, symbolized by the conch’s thunderous sound that shakes the battlefield.
As the battle situation intensifies in Virāṭa’s context, Arjuna (called Jiṣṇu) blows a conch; its roar is described as extraordinarily loud—comparable to a mountain cracking—signaling his formidable power and turning the tide psychologically.
