ततोड<र्जुन: शड्खवरं देवदत्तं महारवम् । प्रदध्मौ बलमास्थाय नाम विश्राव्य चात्मन:,तब अर्जुनने अपना नाम सुनाकर और पूरा बल लगाकर भारी आवाज करनेवाले अपने उत्तम शंख देवदत्तको बजाया
tato 'rjunaḥ śaṅkhavaraṃ devadattaṃ mahāravam | pradadhmau balam āsthāya nāma viśrāvya cātmanaḥ ||
そのときアルジュナは、まず自らの名を高らかに告げ、全身の力をこめて、最上の法螺貝デーヴァダッタを吹き鳴らした。その響きは雄大で、遠くまで轟いた。
